Background[]
Salem ascended to Ninth Grade alongside Ignaz and Patrick at least ten thousand years before the start of AOA. She united the ancient witches of the North.
She left the plane of Lethon willingly under the condition that she could leave behind a Legacy on Lethon, she left behind 13 Legacies which became the foundation for the Thirteen Witch Branches.
She had children some time before she left and eventually her descendents came to head what is now the 13 witch branches, through her deal with Lethon, each branch is guaranteed to revive no matter what happens. Even if all her descendants are killed, Lethon will faithfully choose a suitable canditate to revive a Branch, of course Lethon has discretion on how or when it excecutes its part of the agreement, but it will honor the agreement.
Eventually, through her legacy, her descendants became the sole ruling force in the Northern regions of the Adept Continent. All Witch Leaders and most if not all the adept families are descendants of hers.

- Her descendants that headed the 13 Witch Branches were also above Fourth Grade when Lethon made them all leave, therefore they also got to leave behind a legacy in conjunction with hers.
