Crimson Family

Background[]

The Crimson Clan/Family is a new and up-coming adept clan that was founded by Greem. It will later become the fourteenth major family of the Central and eventually the ruling family of the Central.

The Family is famous for unifying the Central families into the fourth unified adept association.

Volume 5[]

With the creation of Fire Throne and the extermination or subjugation of strong magical monsters around Plague Woods in the Aliovis region, many wandering adepts are attracted to Fire Throne. The Crimson Family starts to form.

Volume 6[]

The Crimson Family invades and conquers the Goblin Plane and establishes a foothold on the Lance plane, it loses Machine Girl Sabrina in the war on Goblin Plane. Mary tried to spy on the Vik Family and is captured by them. Greem tries to negotiate but fails and the result is war. The Vik family besieges Fire Throne but is driven back by Crimson and Crimson allied forces. The Vik family loses several Second Grades and several First Grades.

Greem officially splits from the Sarubo Family and officially announces the creation of his Crimson Family. The Crimson Family gains notoriety, both for winning against the more established Vik Family and for splitting away from the Sarubo Family. furthermore, its Patriarch is locally famous for advancing to Second Grade in less than one hundred years.Mary advances and becomes a Second Grade Adept and becomes the second pillar of support for the Crimson Family.

Volume 7 & 8[]

The Crimson Family sends a battalion of magic machines, a magic ship, and most of its fighting forces to assist the Fate Witches in the interplanar war on the Faen Plane that is hosted every ten years by the Northern Witches. All the magic machines and goblin mechanics are lost along with the magic ship; while the Fate Witches lose most of their adepts in the fight. Endor is lost as well, but the Crimson Family has made large gains and the goal of the Fate Witches is completed.

The Crimson Family capitalizes on its foothold on the Lance Plane and start to hunt dragons for the Adept market, it makes a killing and increases its notoriety further. The Crimson Family expands into the Icewind region of the Northern Lands and establishes a northern branch around the newly constructed White Tower, Meryl is given command.

The Zhentarim Association plots against the Crimson Family, they send a noble to manage Pine Cone Town in accordance with the treaty signed with the Crimson Family; but in reality it is merely a pretense because the noble is assassinated and his adept guards blame the Crimson Family. Yurga of the Kamala Clan leads a coalition comprised of the Andorra Clan, the Cenas Clan, the Magic Forest Hut, and the Layton Adept Academy to assault the Crimson Family; Haines Vik also wants revenge for his previous defeat and joins the Anti-Crimson Alliance.

Yurga is secretly being spured on by the elders of the Zhentarim Association and he sees profit in attacking the Crimson Clan, while the other four groups are afraid of the Crimson Family and wants to curb its power before its too late. Mary leads the defense of Fire Throne, she and six other Second Grades prepare for war.

The Alliance has over a hundred adepts and a army of thirty thousand soldiers, it besieges Fire Throne. The battle goes poorly for them at first but as time passes, Fire Throne starts to deplete its energy stores and the numerical superiority of the Alliance Adepts start to become unbearable for the defenders. The Alliance fire Adepts successfully cuts off Fire Throne's energy source and the defensive power of Fire Throne is reduced, the Crimson Adepts suffer in the fighting. Bug Adept Billis advances to Second Grade in the meantime and teleports into Fire Throne, he is able to postpone the Alliance for awhile but Yurga interferes.

Eventually the alliance barges into the tower and fierce fighting occurs inside the tower. The Crimson Adepts retreat onto the fourth floor. They are saved by Branch Brain Gru who was sent by Gazlowe to reinforce the tower alongside a portable magic furnace to power up Fire Throne and a regiment of countless magic machines.

The Alliance Adepts are caught in a killzone inside Fire Throne as the defenses inside the tower activate and start killing them off in conjunction with the magic machines. The assault on Fire Throne fails and over two-thirds of Alliance forces are killed or captured.The reputation of the Crimson Family skyrockets due to the victory.

Volume 9[]

The Crimson Family exhausted most of its fighting strength and is unable to take advantage of its victory, after recovering for a short while, it begins retaliatory attacks against the Kamala Clan. It also manages to recruit some captured adepts.

The Crimson Family participates as a subordinate force of the Fate Witches in the major interplanar war announced by the Northern Witches. They invade the Stonewoods Plane alongside the main force of the Northern Witches.

Meanwhile, Yurga asks the Zhentarim Association for help. He gives the Zhentarim Association his last level one resource sites in exchange for arbitration. The Zhentarim Association officially declares an armistice between the Kamala Family and the Crimson Family and calls for a "fair" duel between the two sides. Each side must choose a official Adept to represent their side and failure to choose will result in an instant loss.

Yurga is the Kamala Clan's representative in the duel, and Greem represents his Crimson Family. Greem summons his flame fiends and just keeps summoning more of them, he kites Yurga to death marking the victory of a Second Grade Adept over a Third Grade Adept.

Volume 10[]

The family patriarch volunteers to rescue some stranded Deceit Witches in another plane despite their previous plot. Mary is put into overall command until he returns.While he is away, The Fabres Family and its allied forces suddenly launch a full scale war against the Crimson Family. The Fabres Family wipe out most of the Aliovis region, directly exterminates millions of Crimson subjects, and its clan forces has killed Crimson Adepts without mercy.

Many Crimson Adepts are captured by Fabres allied forces. The Crimson Family are forced to call out their Fourth Grade magic machine in hopes of stopping Fabres forces, Mary rallies all Second Grades with-in the family and forms an elite strike team. The odds are not good for the Crimson Family as Mary is the only Third Grade currently stationed in Lethon, Greem is away in a planar war and Arms as his contracted summon is away with him. Meanwhile, the Fabres Family has seven Third Grade Adepts, four are assigned to lead the invading army in the Aliovis region.

Volume 11[]

Every Crimson city, resource site, and magic tower beyond Pine Cone City has been razed to the ground or conquered by Fabres forces. The surviving Crimson forces gather around their last remaining magic tower in the Aliovis region , Fire Throne, and all surviving subjects of the Crimson Family take shelter in Pine Cone City. Crimson forces engage Fabres forces on the outskirts of the city, backed up by a Fourth Grade magic machine, they are able to hold the line. The leader of the Fabres forces formally asks Mary to surrender, but Mary tells him that the Crimson Family is not hers to give away and that he is asking the wrong person before pointing to the Crimson mothership in the sky.

Greem managed to survive the trap on the Henvic Plane and had teleported to the Fate Tower and then to Fire Throne several days ago, He appears on top of the Crimson mothership; Crimson forces are immediately emboldened and morale among the Crimson adepts soars. Greem challenges the patriarch of the Fabres Family, Declan, to a duel. Greem jumps onto the Fourth Grade dragon golem and engages Declan in battle.

Greem is able to force a stalemate with the dragon golem, chip, and a Fourth Grade ring; eventually, enough damage is done to Declan and he is forced to retreat. The Fabres Family forces collapse with the retreat of their patriarch and Crimson forces surge towards them, over the course of a few days the Crimson Family kills or captures many Fabres forces. The Zhentarim Association intervenes and several Fourth Grade forces such as the Dener, Entom, and Banda covers the Fabres forces in their retreat.

After Greem advanced to Fifth Grade, Mary became the acting head.
Before Greem left Lethon as a Fifth Grade Adept, most of the family saw him off.
The Family currently has no bloodline descendants as Greem did not leave any behind.
The Family controls the largest city in the Central which houses two million people.
Sabrina would've been a member of the Crimson Family, but she died in the invasion of the Goblin Plane.
The Crimson Family is around 60 years old by the time of Volume 9.
